Indigo Dyeing Experience in Sumi Aizome Studio

This program offers a one-on-one experience of indigo dyeing from the basics in a small group, and is recommended for those who want to take their time.

In the Ai-tate course, you can learn how to make indigo solution from the raw material, sukumo, in the traditional Japanese way. All materials and tools are provided.

This course will be held at Kaku Aizome Studio in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture.

Lodging Indigo Dyeing Experience

This is an indigo dyeing experience that includes a reasonable overnight stay.

This is mainly a hands-on learning facility for students, but by participating in the indigo dyeing experience, you will be able to use reasonably priced accommodations.

There are 2-day/1-night and 3-day/2-night courses.

Indigo Dyeing & BBQ

This is a set program of indigo dyeing and barbecue that we are planning to start this fall.

After the indigo dyeing experience, let's have fun at the barbecue.

We can accommodate from 5 to 100 people. Reservations are required one month in advance.
